It’s with a bittersweet note that I announce that Franc Robert & the Boxcar Tourists have reached the end of the line, and it’s time to hop off the train… So let’s send this off in style!!! Our last 2 shows will be Friday Aug. 12th at the Fisherman’s Shack (14519 Old Dixie Hwy., Hudson, FL) and Friday Aug. 19th at San Ann Liquors (aka Ralph’s Place), both at their usual times… I hereby invite all friends of the band, musicians who have been a part of this crazy ride, and anyone else interested to please come out and celebrate what this band has managed to do in the course of 6 years, hundreds of gigs, and cases of PBR… hope to see you there!!!
Alrighty, this weekend, it’s Bear & Robert, taking the stage at SweatFest 2-we’re on at 9:15 pm on Saturday, July 23rd… it’s at The Farm (19234 Lake Lindsey Rd., Brooksville, FL) there will be a potluck, and lots of great original music, so come on up or down (depending on which way you’re coming from!) it’s gonna be a great time!!

Tonight, we’re at San Ann Liquors (32625 SR 52, San Antonio, FL) from 7-10pm. As usual, it’s myself on guitar, with David Simmons on drums and Larry Powell on bass, and you never know who might show up!!!
Sunday, we head on up to MacRae’s aka The Shed (5300 S Cherokee Way, Homosassa FL) from 2-6 pm. Dave and Larry will be the rhythm section again, and I’ll handle the 6 string duties…

Tonight and tomorrow, the band returns to the Fisherman’s Shack (14519 Old Dixie Hwy, Hudson, FL) playing 8pm-12am both nights. David Simmons on drums, Larry Powell on bass, and myself handling guitar and vocal duties.
Sunday, I’ll be playing with Miss Cindy Bear at the Woody Guthrie Tribute concert at Beluthahatchee (1501 State Rd 13, Fruit Park, FL) starting at 2 pm… this concert is SOLD OUT!
The band is on a little summer break, we’ll see you all again at the Fisherman’s Shack on July 8th!

TONIGHT-we’re at San Ann Liquors (25053 SR 52, San Antonio, FL) from 7-10pm, playing our usual crazy mix of blues, acoustic and danceable fun music, with David Simmons on the drum throne and Larry Powell holding down the low end as usual, and myslf all set for 6 string duty… always a great time at San Ann!!!
SATURDAY-we return to Upper Deck (5348 Darlene Street, Weeki Wachee FL) from 8-12 pm. Same crew as Friday night, with the added bonus of flirting mermaids!
SUNDAY-Cindy Bear and myself will be playing a special Fathers Day Concert, along with Rick Randlett and Cassie Keenum at the High Springs Museum (110 NW 1st Avenue, High Springs FL) from 2-4 pm. Acoustic blues is the order of the day, along with a “Taste Of The Town” and too many other great happenings. The concert will be from 2-4 pm, and it’s FREE, but limited seating, so get there early!

Tomorrow (Saturday), I’m playing solo at the ACMA Listening Room (2756 MacGregor Blvd., Ft. Myers, FL) from 7-9ish pm, with Karen Cohen opening, and Cindy Bear will be joining me for a tune or 2-going to be a LOT of fun!!!
